“instigate” is a leadership group which meets together to help shape the youth community at Oak Grove Church. it is made up of 9 students from 6-12th grade who are selected by application and 6-9 adults who are nominated by the current group and invited to participate. the incoming and outgoing youth representatives to church council are automatically appointed to the group.

instigate meets monthly to discuss ways to help the teenagers of atlanta/decatur:
1. discover the ways in which God has been/is active in the world. (example: java hut, VOX, confirmation)
2.experience the ways in which God is mending their soul. (example: community groups, retreats)
3. partner with God in mending the world around them. (example: extensions, beautiful revolution grants)
instigate also meets in order to further develop their own gifts and find how God has uniquely shaped them to influence the world around them.
