During the four 5th Sundays of the year (August, November, January, and May) we will not hold our regular Sunday night Community Groups event. Instead we are inviting each community group to plan their own individual outing for that evening.
We will have more details posted below for the location and plans for each group below. We will be continuing to update as plans are finalized. If you have questions contact your Community Group leader.
JANUARY 31, 2010 (Community Group Plans)
Middle School Guys (6th - 8th Grade):
TIME: 1:30 pm – 4 pm – Meeting at OGUMC to go Ice Forum (Duluth)
WHAT: Ice Skating at Ice Forum in Duluth (Students need to bring $10 for Ice Skating & can bring additional if they want to play video games or eat some food). Students will meet at Oak Grove and then hoop in the church mini-buses, head to the Ice Forum, and then return to the church for pick up at 4 pm.

6th Grade Girls:
TIME: 6 pm - TBA @ Zoe Hick’s Home (1907 Mercedes Court NE, Atlanta, GA)
WHAT: Dinner & Massage (at Zoe Hick’s house). Students need to bring an item for dinner (talk with one of the leaders for details) and bring $10 to help cover the cost of the masseuse, dinner, and fun!

7th Grade Girls:
TIME: 6 pm - 8 pm @ Cynthia Casabonne’s House (2564 River Oak Dr, Decatur)
WHAT: Students will be meeting at the Casabonne’s home to have dinner and talk about plans to work the Loose Change to Loosen Chains. Students do not need to bring $.

8th Grade Girls:
TIME: 1 pm - 4:30 @ Oak Grove Church (Youth Building Parking Lot)
WHAT: Laser Tag (at Laser Quest in Duluth) and Lunch at Moe’s Southwest Grill on LaVista. Students will meet at and return to Oak Grove to be dropped off and picked up. Students need to bring $ for lunch & $15 for Laser Tag (appx. $20-25).

TIME: 6 pm - 9 pm @ Movie Tavern (on LaVista Road)
WHAT: Movie (Sherlocks Holmes) Students will be meeting at 6 pm at the Movie Tavern and need to bring $ for dinner and a movie ticket (appx. $10-15)

9th Grade Girls:
TIME: 6 pm - 8 pm @ Movie Tavern
WHAT: Movie (Leap Year: PG) students will be meeting at 6 pm at the Movie Tavern, watching Leap Year & eating dinner together. Students need to bring $ for a movie ticket and dinner (appx. $10-15)

WHAT: Spa Night & Dinner at the Merrill’s! Students do not need to bring any money dinner.

WHAT: Students should meet at Chili’s at 6 pm and bring $ for dinner.
