java hut

Java Hut
Java Hut is our Sunday morning gathering for students in the Youth Building.  We meet at 9:20 am in the Youth Café for a light breakfast and then break into grade divided classes for a bible study.

Focus
Classes take place in 6 week “chunks”.  At our transitions we often change facilitators, varying the teaching style.  We also offer high school students the opportunity to choose a new “track” at each 6 week interval.  This allows them to customize their learning experience.

What are the “tracks” for high school students?  We allow high school students to determine if they learn best through media, discussion, or in a “hands on” environment.  The same content is offered in at least 2 of these “ways” and students can choose how they will engage that content.

What are we learning?  6th-12th graders are all involved in a conversation this school year about how we can echo God’s love to the world through a conversation called “Reverb”.  Though the conversation contains an identical theme, it is customized to age and learning style.  Click here to get more information on this year’s conversation.
