On February 24th & 25th, 2011, the Revolution Community of Oak Grove will come together in fasting, reflection and serving as we join with thousands of people to fight world hunger. Every day, hunger kills nearly 8,000 kids. Our Youth band together in support of World Vision, a relief organization passionate about ending death through hunger. Please pray that lives will be saved and that our youth will be part of writing a different story for children all over the world.
Our youth will begin fasting after lunch on Friday, February 24th, and then meet at the YouthCafe’ at 6:00 p.m. for a time of prayer and dedicating our fast to God. Our weekend w
ill consist of a lock-in, prayer walks, reflections, service and breaking our fast together at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25th.
Please support one of our youth that is participating by donating $1, $2, or $3 per hour to fight hunger. Donations of any amount are appreciated and will save lives. If you are sponsoring a specific youth, please add their name to your donation. You may also make a check out to Oak Grove UMC and write on the tag line, “30 Hour Famine”.
